
In the 16th century, Makasar was the dominant trading center in eastern Indonesia. Thanks to success, the city has a variety of an interesting historical heritage to be visited.
As far as the eye can see, the city is surrounded by the sea that is so vast and beautiful, and well known to many tourist. although you cannot find the sand there, it will be a memorable experience just sitting on the beach, waiting for the sunset.

Moving slightly towards the mountains, Makassar hides another attractive tourist destination, known as Bantimurung Waterfall. This waterfall is located in the town of Maros, approximately 140 km from the city. The waterfall is 20 m wide and 15 m tall, and because of its location in the mountain, the water is still very pure.
Besides the coolness that keeps the tourist coming back, Bantimurung Waterfall is one of habitat area for countless species of the world's rare butterflies, aptly named "The Kingdom of Butterfly" by Dutch colonies.

If you are interested to visit Makassar, you don't need to worry. The city has an easy access: Makassar's Hasanuddin Airport.
Accommodation varies, with hotels starting from IDR 300.000 for an adequate room service. And getting around the city of Makassar using the Pedi cab only cost IDR 15.000.
